DepQuest S.r.l. (Distributed Engineering Processes) is born at the end of 2001 from the fusion of engineering, IT and industrial R&D knowhows. From Q2 2002 the headquarter of DepQuest has been established in the new born technological park Point, located in Dalmine (BG).
The birth of DepQuest has been strongly influenced by the growing needs of multidisciplinary competencies in the industrial field, where the Information Technology component is playing a key role. From this considerations, the choice of being hosted by the technological park Point, which is an important hub for the collaboration between applied reasearch and industry.

Engineering\Information Technology division
represents the technological skelet of the company and is able to cover the following needs:
- SW architectures for the management of destructured/eterogeneal information based on distributed and shared team works.
- Integration of all possible source of information at corporate level (Mainframes, manufacturing, management, WEB)
- Distributed SW architectures based on J2EE.
- Security on industrial networks: criptography, SSL, networking protocols, firewalls
- Advanced graphical user interfaces for industrial applications (supervision, control, monitoring, diagnosys)

R&D division
represent the development engine and cover the following competencies:

Development of control and simulation models for real phenomena in the field of: fluidodynamics, phase transitions in dynamical systems, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, phases interface.

Application of artificial intelligence methods :expert systemsi, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, neural networks, finite automata, in the following fields: knowledge representation, knowledge discovery, datamining, transient phenomena, bio-chemical systems, development of control and analysis algorithms of industrial processes and analytical equipments (liquid and gas chromatography, mass spectroscopy, mercury porosimetry, thermocalorimetry ...), autoadaptive systems, pattern recognition and classification, imaging.
